Florida CPA Regulatory Ethics

This course meets the requirement of the Florida State Board of Accountancy (FSBA) for 4 CPE hours of Florida specific ethics. It contains all legislative and FSBA changes enacted by the legislature and Board through June 30, 2011.

This course is designed for:

Florida CPA firms desiring a comprehensive sensitivity training session for CPA firm partners, managers, and general professional staff employees.
Florida Quality Control partners reviewing their CPA firm's internal ethical principles and procedures.
Individual Florida CPAs desiring to meet the Florida Board ethics specific CPE requirement of 4 hours focused on Florida legal provisions.

Objectives - You will learn:

How to identify issues involved in making CPA professional ethical accounting decisions.
How to recognize the considerations in analysis and resolution of ethical dilemmas.
How to apply ethical rules and guidelines to public accounting situations.
CPA responsibilities and conduct described in the Florida Board and AICPA ethical standards.

You will gain:

More confidence in your personal and professional ethical judgments.
Increased sensitivity towards accounting ethical issues and dilemmas.
Familiarity with Florida Board and AICPA's ethical compliance and enforcement procedures.
QAS CPE credit 6 hours of Regulatory Ethics

Rigos Professional Education Programs is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy as a Quality Assurance Service (QAS) sponsor of continuing professional education. Participating state boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. National Registry of CPE Sponsors self-study CPE credit - 6 hours of Regulatory Ethics

Rigos Professional Education Programs is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

This course emphasizes fiduciary duties, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, contingent fees, and commissions. Features include:

Florida law and regulation codes are covered in detail.
Special emphasis is given where Florida differs from the AICPA Code.
